I have two 8 GB pen drives. I gave it to my friend who wanted to copy some files from that. when he returned me back all of my USB folders set to system and hidden attribute. I scanned my USB and found almost 71 viruses. I cleaned them. it's working fine now.. but now each folder or sub folder is set to hidden. and now to get data I need to go inside each and every folder and copy the data to some visible folder. I tried select all and right click properties. change attribute. it's not working. any other way anyone know?

Try to open your command prompt. Start Run "cmd" OK Point to your USB Drive. Usually it is on drive "F:", then type "F:" Enter Type "attrib -s -h /s /d" Enter Wait for seconds... Check your pen drives again. Hope it works.

Theoretically, it should work for the subfolders too, since /s - Processes matching files in the current folder and all subfolders. /d - Processes folders as well But, let's see whether it works in this case or not..

I am using UBUNTU which is not attracting virus. But in UBUNTU other softwares do not run. Most anti viruses do not completely remove viruse
