Can we become genius even if we are not born genius? Or is genius a genetic trait? Many people said Jose Rizal is genius. I do not know if he's born genius or he's genius with his own effort and desire. If he's genius because of his effort and desire, maybe we can be like Jose Rizal. What do you think? Is it possible for all of us to become genius?
I remember when I was still studying, my grades in school is low. I do not have failing grades, it is just that my grades is low. When I decided to study at home and thought about the grades of Jose Rizal which is over all "excellent" -- wow! excellent! -- I forgot the resources -- I said to myself, I want to be like him. So I study hard without destructing myself from other things. I plan and set my own time, and followed it perfectly. After the exam, I got a high score, but still not like Jose Rizal whose grades is over all "excellent".
So I was thinking if all of us have this passion and desire to become genius, do you think all of us have the ability to become one of them? Genius and very intelligent?
I admit that even if I study hard, there's a part of me that I procrastinate.. he he

Actually, how do you define genius in words? I don't know whether genius mean you must be able to make a lot of money with your knowledge. Or you are more like a rocket science, and build a rocket, or satellite something like that. Or if you are genius hacker, who can be like Mark Zuckerberg to build a facebook entirely by himself, and make it so popular worldwide. There are million of genius in this world, we just don't see them.

I think being genius is hereditary. It is found in the genes. Some people are just blessed with too much intelligence. But I can say that even though we are not born extraordinary individuals just like our national hero, Jose Rizal, still we can become geniuses in different fields or aspects. We, too, can excel in our own little way.

The term genius is so up for so much debate that it is not even funny. There are many times where there is a fine line between genius and insanity. Also someone can be a genius in one field but be utterly dumb as a doornail in other fields. There is so much criteria, as I am really not sure that geniuses are truly born. Granted, there are many genetic factors that allow for easier processing the mind.
So I think that it is possible to grow into that. In fact, you have to wonder how many people really were going to be geniuses, but they could now grow into that front. There are many people who do come across as very bright but they are not so much so in a number of ways. I think that there is really no tried and true foolproof way to determine what a genius might be or might not be.

Genius? I think the media have abused the word . Einstan and Beethoven, or someone like them are genius. Those who get nice transcripts can hardly called "genius " What is more ,i wonder why people are so crazy about genius .Extraordinary talent can't guarantee one's success .I once read an article about the reason why the masters turned into the great .In the first place,i thought the same as you ,considering talent as the key .But it turns out that dilligence is the factor that really matters . It says that anyone would make a dent on a certain field if he spends more than 100,000 hours on the field . After thinking twice , i thought the article reasonable . And it fits the God's arrangement .What do you say ?

Genius? I think it is really genetic. Because no matter good you are in acquiring things around you, still there's something missing. I mean the lack of understanding to subject matter.
Intelligence is innate to someone's system.
