I don't love my job anymore

I don't love my job anymore and that is so hard on my part. Imagine, I am working because that is my obligation but the passion is missing. I am just forcing myself to report on my work. The thing is I can't resign because I need to finish the year and that is included in the contract that I signed. This is so difficult for me, you know why? Because when I am working my other mind is counting for the hours that I need to stay in my work place. I know that this is unfair but that is how I feel and I can't blame myself.

I think that you are in the majority, rather than the minority to say the very least. I think that when it comes down to it these days, for most people are just getting up, groaning about how they are going to face there jobs to say the very least. There are going to be a lot of times where many people are doing what you are doing. Going through their jobs, but counting down the hours to the end. I think that these days, there are going to be more people than not who are going to become Paycheck zombies. People that are going to really just go through the motions, without any passions. Then again, most people do have a job that they hate, because it is the only one they can find. There is going to be a limit to say the least for some people, but when is it time to say when?

You cannot blame me for having this feeling towards my job. For six years I tried to love my job but I am fed up. This is the last straw and I am really determined to resign but the problem is I need to wait for few months. Thanks anyway.

Hi there jaderamirez, WOW! You have been trying for six years?! Something is really missing here... What do you mean tried all these years to love your job? Are you married to it? Come on, take a couple of days off, think oof what you want to do with your life. What dreams, goals you want to achieve? Wake-up before more years pass by. Wishing you all the best.

Maybe you need to take a day off and rest and just free your mind off your work. :))

Thanks for your idea. I don't think rest will help me to stay in my job. But for the meantime I think I need it.

Hi JadeRamirez :) I think it happens to all of us. I am also working now, and I am also getting bored and tired of going to work. Maybe it depends on what you really wanted to do with your life. For me, I have my own ambitions in life, different from my job. But I can't just quit now because of the contract that we have signed and other things. I was also very depressed last week because of the same reason. What I did was I tried to relax, I went to some Hotel and Resort, had a massage, and I just think thoroughly and planned of what I'm going to do. I tried to think of the good things my work will give me, the positive sides of it. I am just trying to control everything that is happening. I just always think that my time will come. I am still young, and I know that I can still change the direction my life is going. :)

Hi jade. :) That's hard and I can relate to your confusion. I accepted this job and all day I feel like giving up. But I'm not.. Because at the end of the day, I feel it that I still love it, I just lost my inspiration and drive to do it. I think you should remember why you used to love that work and why applied for it in the first place. Then get some inspiration, take time to relax and just enjoy. :) Have a blessed day!

I hope I can regain my passion to work, like what you are right now. My love for my work is only 50% from the start. I just asking myself now, Why I stay for that long period of time? I am thankful that I have a job and I am blessed for that. The problem is I am not happy.

hi, this is sad, because there are more importants things in life then just working all life-long!..its sad that your job dosent make you happy anymore..maybe its just a phase..but maybe you really have spent all the fun you could have doing this job. But atleast, if its been a long time you work there, you must have had a couple of raise so you salarry might be good..but then again..there's more in life then just working, espacially if you dont like the job you are doing now. What happens if you brake the contract??..anyway..think of your personnal life-time FIRST, and then decide if you really need to quit this job (if you really feal like your time is not well-spend, maybe you should change job!) but its just an advice! ;) most important think in life: your time!

Thanks for your sharing. Yes, I hate to be fake and pretend, but that is what I am doing in my work place. For me to be not unfair sometimes I force myself to focus and I just pray things will be fine and I can concentrate in my paperworks.

That is how I feel everyday. And if I could, I would kick my self for it. Some mylotters know that I have been complaining about my job for a year now, and until now I still have the same complaints. Like you, I just come here and count the hours. (And mylot, thankfully, no one knows this site else it will be banned). But, like you, I can't get out yet because I'm so indebted I'm drowning in it. So, here's a heartfelt hug for you, because I know what you're going through. And here's wishing that change will come upon us soon.

maybe a little rest I'll be good. Take your leave and no mission rablota friend. It will relax you and will not be so nasty and you feel tired. just need to be able to pause and rest and not work without a break. nice day! Success!

I can understand your position. I had a job once that I got so tired of and I was also tied to a contract so I had no choice but had to stick with it till the term ended. I couldn't wait to get out of my work place, it was as though every morning, I had to wake up to go to do something that I had no choice for at all. Anyways, after the contract ended, I had to change jobs no matter what. Don't think too much about the hours and they will pass by quickly. Days will pass and one day your contract will come to an end and you will get a better job :)

Thanks for your understanding. It is really hard to be in this position that the only solution is time to pass by. What I am doing to be entertained is by Mylotting and chatting with my friends during break time.
