What happened to Kapil Dev? Yesterday he said that no need to give excess priority to Sachin's 100th century and Indian win is more important. In my opinion 100th century is a great record which is very difficult to achieve or break for a long period of time and it is equally or more notable than a match win. It is not a matter of good sportsman spirit to provoke uneasiness to a gentle player like Sachin at the brink of a great record.

I think Sachin's 100th 100 would definitely be a great personal record. But I agree with Kapil that India's win is more important. So in essence, cricket is a team game and it is important for the team to win. Personal landmarks do not mean too much in the long run. Cheers! Ram

There was one more statement by Kapil Dev on the occasion, that is many of Sachin's centuries were not useful for Indian win. So something wrong is smelt.

both are mental and they are there to criticize the great and want to to make his popularity come down. we all know how much efforts is needed to make the 100th century and these people are afraid about it.
