My excitement to countdown the days before christmas has gone.

Before I used to count the days whenever Christmas is fast approaching. As I am making the countdown the moment the so called "ber months" has start up. So, I am starting the count at the start of September. I used to do that since I was a child and until I have worked from a far far away land. But when I came back last May of this year, the excitement to count it down again has gone. As I noticed it when the month of September approaches. Though my niece was telling it to me everyday, I dont feel excited anymore to count it. I really lost zest on doing the countdown anymore. And I dont feel excited anymore to celebrate it unlike those years when I am not here, living with my family. Thus, I am thinking, maybe I should leave again and live separately from my family in order for me to feel again the excitement.

Christmas is about family. And the excitement of being together during Christmas time. I guess that's why we are all excited to count down the days when were younger. As we grow up, we get more (financial) responsibilities and we realize that it takes a lot to keep the family (happy) together during the holidays. I think that thoughts that you're having, and the apprehensions about Christmas is just your responsibilities wearing you down. I'm sure that when the day comes, you'd realize that you do like it. And you do love being with your family at that special day.

Excited about Christmas - Beaming near the Christmas tree
I guess we should all be excited about Christmas because we are celebrating the birth of our Savior. It must be the real reason why Christians should all be excited to celebrate this occasion. If Christ therefore is the reason for the season then I don't find any reason why we should not be excited each time Christmas is coming no matter what circumstances we may be in. As for me I already started decorating my home with Christmas decorations so that the spirit of Christmas could be felt this early. I have always been excited about Christmas and I hope this remains in me.

I think everyone goes through ebbs and flows like this. Some years I am more excited about Christmas, other years I am indifferent. This year I am pretty excited but a bit stressed because I am really busy. Maybe next year you will be more excited?

Usually by now I have done a lot of things to get ready for Christmas, but between randy losing his job and us having to give up the house it has been hard. randy and I have to be out by the end of the month and we are moving from Idaho to Nevada. It is an expensive move and I am not sure if any of the moving companies will move things to storage as opposed to a house. We will be living with my parents and there is not a lot of room. Maybe once the move is over and I am with my parents things will be more cheerful.
