Several natural disasters hit my country this year.] The last one struck last weekend and left a lot of places flooded. In some areas water reached the roof of the houses which made the residents climb up on top of it just to survive. Government efforts in the rescue and recovery efforts may seem lacking but at least they are working on it. Relief goods are being distributed. I do wish though that we get to avoid such situations again. Have you ever experienced such situations? Has any natural disaster hit your place? What did you do? How did manage and cope with it?

I have been seeing the news reports on the TV news channels about natural disasters in different parts of the world, and how people have been suffering. Really very pathetic. Recently hurricanes and typhoons hitting the coastal areas. Governments are doing their best to save and protect the people. International organizations are also there helping the victims of the disasters.

One good thing that we can get out of this natural disasters is that we get to see the goodness of the people. We can see them helping each other in times of suffering. We get so see their heroism.

Good for you. About two or three years ago, about 70 percent of our province was flooded. It was the worst one in our place. I was staying in the city and I only heard in the radio that my hometown was affected. When I went home, tears fell when I saw the situation in our house. The water was up to the waist level according to my dad. We lost quite a lot.
