Well, well , well! Hank Williams tried to be clever on Fox News and it backfired. He mentioned seeing The President and The Speaker of the House play golf is like see Hitler play Netanyahu. What? Really? It was so offensive to many that ESPN pulled his opener last night! Me? I wondered whom was he calling Hitler? It was so vague I was more confused than offended! Anyway this is the type of thing that ends badly. My question is will you miss the opener to monday Night Football? Or are you like me, You don't make a point to even see it?

I very rarely watch MNF and when I do check in to see the score I usually don't get it in time to hear the theme song. However, I'm glad Williams has been permanently taken off by ESPN. I know he didn't "technically" call the President or compare him to Hitler but I think we all knew what he was implying. Plus, he DID refer to both the President and Vice President as "the enemy". I'm sorry but no matter WHO the President and VP are that's not an appropriate thing for someone to say! He had every right to say it, I realize that totally, but so did ESPN have every right to terminate his contract. Annie

For years I saw the Republican president as my enemy. But I am not a T.V. star! I support his right to actually believe a Democratic President as the enemy. G-d knows he has enough money to be a Republican! I didn't know Exactly what he meant until I heard The Whole piece. He did call Hitler. How idiotic!

I don't get a chance to see the opening up MNF alot and last night I was looking forword to seeing Bocephus! I found out the day before Hank Jr. is no longer on MNF! I think what he said was stupid and really didn't make sense. He has the right to say what he thinks. Of course now a days we have to be political correct and everyone is so darn sensive! I am not thrilled about what happened. I am not because I am a big fan of Hank Williams Jr. have been for years and I was before he started on MNF back in 1989. Anyway that is what I have to say on this.

I watched the Monday night game last night and didn't even realize that it was not on there so I am ready for the games without the opening song. I guess he was calling Obama like Hitler and that didn't go over well.

Hi, It was a poor choice of examples for his allegory, more than anything. I won't miss the opening, because I never see it.
