have you ever wondered what is our real purpose here on Earth. We are born. We grow and become children. Then we become adult, have our own work. We marry then have a children. Then we grow old and eventually we will die. With the cycle of life eminent, have you ever wonder what is our true purpose in life? Are we someone that was born and eventually will die someday? Or do God has bigger purpose for us?. Your thoughts on this?

Purpose of life is not to work like a slave, slog our guts out just to survive everyday. Life is meant to be explored and that's why we are given time. With time limit, we are made to cherish and treasure every moment. It's too bad people are too engrossed with other things in life, ignoring the true purpose of life. What's the point in earnings lots of money, have family, yet they know nothing about the world out there?

So we should, as long as we live, we should explore the world and try to have fun and enjoy all the creation of God. Thank you for your response

I have thought of this at different times in my life and still do think about it. I yhinlk anyone who has escaped 'close calls' think God must have some other plans for them. Basically I just think we are all here to grow and learn and experince lessons to become better people and then move on to another world. I also think we never stop learning, even afetr we die. After all there is so much knpwledge we will never learn it all so I figure there will be other dimensions, realities in which we will continue our learning process..

So basically, according to you, our purpose here on earth while we are alive is to gain knowledge. And then when we die, we continue to gain knowledge on other Dimensions. Well, I think we would never know this unless we are on this situation. Thank you for your response.

I think God has a purpose for each of us. We are all the time learning new things, so I do think that is part of our purpose...to learn. Each day we touch so many other lives without even knowing. It could be helping someone find their lost dog, or giving money to the mom who is struggling to feed her family. It could just be a simple hello and smile to a stranger who is having a bad day. I think part of our purpose is to touch other's lives and make them better whether we realize that we do or not.

My .02 on this, is that we are taking part in a simulation (known in some eastern cultures as Samsara), the purpose of which is to teach us things. What happens to you in this life simulation, is in part, governed by parameters which were set in the previous ones you have taken part in (law of karma), so it is my contention that you don't actually die but the simulation you are taking part in currently, ends (game over) and a new one is loaded in for your eternal essence to experience.....this cycle continues until you have learned enough to achieve 'Nirvana'.......

I haven't thought about that for quite a while now. I think ever since I met my husband I stopped wondering. You see, that thought started when I was in college, we had a discussion about "the meaning of life", and we focused on that for a week, but since it was a graded recitation, I felt the pressure more than the importance of the subject, so I ended up learning nothing. But after that, it hunted me, there were really times that I stop and think about what to do with my life. I even tried reading a book called "The Purpose Driven Life", but I always end up asleep after a few paragraphs. haha! I never finished the book. But I'd like to assume that the book intends to tell us what we already know from the beginning. To help others, care for our environment and always include God in our lives.

I have also read that book. But I think it does not help me to see what is my "complete purpose" is. Well I know that it helped me think what are the purpose of my life. But it is still not enough.
