Do you get the ideas of where you want to travel over the validity of the new passport? My 4 year old disabled son's passport arrived today. I am delighted about that and can now make the final preparations for our trip in 2012. We want to go back to wonderful South America and have already booked our flights. In 2013 I hope we can visit Central America. In 2014 I hope we can do a many destination trip to Asia seeing lots of places on my travel wish list. In 2015 I hope we can visit Madagascar and Mauritius. Now my disabled son is at school Easter is my favorite time to travel. We can only have 10 days off school so I mix it with a school holiday. I will have to save up big time if I want to travel at Christmas time.
How do you feel and think when you get a new passport?
Do you have any places that you hope to visit in the future?

Hi Maxine,
As you know, my future places to travel depend a lot now on my health. But even now that I cannot even go out to the movies as my defenses are very low, I still think up of places I´d like to see. My passport is valid yet, but I suppose I should take a look before going too far. I don´t need a passport to travel to the neighbor countries though.

The passport I have now is already a few years old. But when I got it then, my first thought was not of travel. It was more of security.
I've actually changed citizenship, and the receipt of my new passport (then) signified that I am already afforded the same security as all the citizen of my adopted country.

I love the look of a new passport but, I love my old one too as it has all my stamps in it and makes me feel good to see those places I have visited! I hope you can manage to save and go on your trip!

You are for sure an advanced planner which is good as nothing can catch you by surprise in your travels. I like to book a few weeks before and decide based on a few factors such as weather, political climate, general events happening and also how much time off work I can squeeze. I want to try and visit Costa Rica in December but I just took off for a trip to Africa so we shall see how that works out.
My list of places to visit soon is well pretty much 60% of the world so wish me the best of luck. Keep us posted on how your travels go! Ever thought about blogging?
