Blackburn Rovers are coming to India this week. They will be playing a match with Pune FC which is a local football club. Unfortunately, the match is not in my city so I cannot go to the stadium to watch. It has been a long time since any major footballing club has come to India. I remember quite some time back PSG Eindhoven had come to India to play some games. But, suddenly India seems to be getting into the radar of the footballing world. Last month we had the Argentinian team and Messi playing a game here and now this trip from Blackburn. I am loving it. :) Cheers! Ram

Have you ever been to a well known team's game? I have been to two Champions League games so far, and two Europa League qualifiers and I have to say that is another level. The first time was in 2008, when Steaua Bucharest has met Bayern in the Champions League group stage, I traveled a lot till Bucharest just to see my favorite team. The second time was in 2010, when Bayern came to Cluj, which is more closer to the place I live. In Cluj I had the chance of meeting the players, and I have made some photos with Schweinsteiger, Gomez or the legendary Franz Beckenbauer. And this year, I attended to two Europa League qualifiers, because another team which is not so far from where I live played there. It is Gaz Metan Medias, which has encountered Mainz in Medias, and then Austria Wien in Cluj. I have to say that the game against Mainz was a thrilling one, Medias won at shootout, having a great goalie, who has saved at least 12 clear chances in front of the Mainz players. I wish you to have this luck also, to see your favorite team playing in front of your eyes in an important competition.

Unfortunately, in India club football is not so great. Only one city in India i.e. Kolkatta is really fanatical about football. In India, the sports arena is all centered around Cricket. I have been to quite a few International and club cricket matches. This year we had the Cricket World Cup which was held in India. We went on to win the World Cup. What was even better for me was that my favorite cricket club went on to win the Club competition called as IPL (Indian Premier League) for a second straight time. Last year along with IPL, they also won the CL T20 (Champions League T20) which is like the UEFA Champions League. This year sadly my team CSK could not make the knock out stages of CL T20 as our players were really tired from the International commitments!! Cheers! Ram

I see. Well, it is important for a person to be close to his favorite team, no matter the sports. I love team sports, because they are representing much more than individual ones. Maybe you can use the site which you have registered to try out your luck on cricket events or maybe you can give me some info about this sports. A good collaboration can make us stronger, even if only there. Maybe we can help each other and we will make some good bets there and qualify for the prizes.

Sure. But cricket is a bit more complicated than football. There are many rules in the game and there are three varieties in which it is played. One is called a 20 over game which gets over in 3 hours in which each team has 20 overs to score as many runs as is possible. The second one is the 50 over game where each team gets 50 overs to score as many runs as possible. The final one is called the Test Match where there is no over limit. But a team has to try and get 20 of the other team's players out and score more runs than them. If you know the basics of the game, then I can tip you on which teams to bet. Cheers! Ram
