Have You Tried Organic Coffee?

I recently tried organic coffee and I love it. For decades, I was a dedicated Maxwell House fan. Now it tastes weak in comparison to organic coffees. First I sampled Paul Newman's Green Mountain coffee and it was so delicious! Now I am hooked. I also got a voucher recently to Abe's Market (online organic store) through Care2. It was a sweet deal and I ordered their organic coffee. It was just as good as Green Mountain. Now I am trying other brands at the local grocery store. It seems to be richer, more full-bodied and has a pure taste. The smell is also irresistible. Often it costs about a dollar more per can, but I find a use less to make a decent pot of coffee so the price is about the same as regular brands in the end. Have you tried organic coffee? Good morning - tipping my cup of organic joe to everyone! (you've got to try it...)

Hey Mama! I love the smell of coffee and the taste. I like to try different kinds of coffee. I buy the beans and grind them in my Magic Bullet so its alwasy fresh and delious! So far I have discovered Bavarion Dark Chocolate, Hazelnut, French Vanilla, and Almond to name a few! I like to make myself a drink which I call "good girl" , it is Bavarion Dark Chocolate or French Vanilla in a large coffee mug with Bailey's Irish cream, a splash of milk, topped with whip cream and sprinkles of dark chocolate on top! I sip this brew when kids are in bed and I am by myself to relax and enjoy! Because I have been a good girl...LOL Fyre

Fyre, you need to pass me a "good girl" later when the kids go to bed, I have been a very good girl :) Gosh, that sounds DELISH. Love chocolate and vanilla coffee - recently discovered the Godiva coffees, they are chocolate sin in a cup. I just got the pumpkin spice for fall - mmmmmmm! I haven't added Bailey's to any of them yet but it's a sweet idea - with some whipped cream and dark chocolate, totally decadent! Never thought of grinding the beans in the Magic Bullet - hmmm, definitely has possibilities, I always buy it already ground. (still thinking of a "good girl," love the name)

I am also a coffee addict and make the same stuff for decades. After trying organic foods, I decided to grab the coffee when it was on sale one week. It's sooooo good!

I've tried it before while shopping at my local farmer's market and it tastes pretty good. It *is* pricer, but of course the upside is you're not in-taking any artificial fertilizers and pesticides. And like you said, I do taste a richer, more full-bodied taste in the organic blend. I hear good things about Green Mountain coffee and I'll probably try it soon. Right now I brew Eight O'Clock coffee at home, and visit Starbucks at least once a week. ;)

I definitely agree with you, organic coffee can taste ten times better than something like a generic grocery store brand coffee. However I have also found that the brands of organic coffee differ in flavor greatly! When I first had organic coffee, I was in the same boat as you - the flavor and richness were overwhelming, and it was probably the tastiest cup of black coffee that I ever had. Of course thrilled at this discovery, I began trying all different brands of organic coffee, and unfortunately found that some of them can be pretty bland and tasteless. I'm not sure why this is the case, but I would say that if you have found a brand you like, stick with it! Overall I back your recommendation though - everyone should try organic coffee if they haven't, the strength of the taste difference alone can be eye-opening.
