My opinion about God and Religion are the next 2. 1. GOD is only one, doesn't matter the name of the religion or of Him: God, Allah, Jehova, Buddha whatever... 2. Religion was invented by man to control the masses. It was the only way to make people behave, because, at the end of words humans are nothing more but animals, mean ferocious. And you can see it very well at young kids, before they start to learn to have a conscience. They are mean, really mean... and after that they are educated... one of our educators is the religion. So my opinion is to try explain your professor that everyone is free to believe in whet they want because God doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that we are not allowed to believe in something else. In fact he leave us to choose and realize what is the best for us. Also there is another thing you could try to tell him: everyone pays for his own mistakes, so if you are wrong to pray to your God you will pay for it and not him, and also if he is wrong by what he's asking or doing then he will pay and not you. And another thing that Christianity should follow is the tolerance and love of everybody. But there is also another thing that you can do. If he is really that much bothered by you praying, maybe you should find yourself a place quiet and private to make your prayers. And like this everybody will be happy. GOOD LUCK! My God be with you! :)

Dear anca thankyon so much for yours comment... Infact the situation is really teasing. prayers never effect the routine matters and im in the process of settling down yet in the new country when such thing is trying to be imposed on me. Infact i had very good image of people over here as they are really friendly and helping but this single event raise so many question marks. Islam being flexible like several other religions guide me not to become rigid and thats why i keep me calm. Also I have to study and cant afford that sort of ideological fight or argue :).. but anyways one thing i realize that that should not be the way either for preaching islam , christiantiy or even for those who dont belive on any religion at all. .... One should be broad minded and love is not something that restricted.. It should be for everyone..

No one can be forced to do something that has to be done of the heart! One can NOT force their heart to do something. Everyone of us have been received the gift of FREE WILL and no one, not even the higher powers can overrule a persons free will. Accepting Christ is a matter of the heart and no one but you has any say over what goes on in your heart.

First off I'm christian but I don't nessessaryly believe its the only trun religion there are may beliefs. But no one knows for sure which belief is the right belief. I'm not trying to discourage you in any way how ever you beleve is your choice. The bible evevn states there is only one God but the way you choose to worship your yours to make. well maybe not in those words but you get the meaning.

Definitely... i told my prof with due respect that sir i personally feel islam and christianity are perhaps the closest one. Atleast GOD is one and same.. and its the most important thing.. but he deined. not at all he replied .. whoever dont believe Jesus as a true God is not true and you will realize that if you come with me to church and LOT manyother things that i was listening and was thinking surprisingly that what is going on .....

Thats also interesting... I was trying to tell him that sir both religions are atleast same in its major faith about God.. But he rejected my thinking and it was new for me to hear that Jesus is himself a God now.. Otherwise i heard and read that for christians Jesus is son of God. so i thought atleast God is same and its good thing. but he didnt agree :(.. anyways... Thanks..

Sorry to dissagree but Jesus is savior not god Gdo is his father what chruch does he go too. No disrespect but I think he need to read the bible Jesus is NOT God. I think its wrong for him to push his religion on you.

Everyone should be free to choose their own way of worshipping. I have no religion and I made that choice because I felt that all religions were flawed but that was my choice. If you feel the religion you are following is right for you than stay with it and don't let others force you to change.

Dear religion provide a pathway for humans so that their society may be differencitated by the animals forest :).. but that is different topic. The point you mentioned is right that if someone realize and feel peace of mind in religion by heart then its good.. but otherwise to force someone to accept some belief is not a way at all and neither such thing is adviced by any true religion.... THANKS..

i dont think one should try to force another to believe their way but i do think you should encourage another to believe in your way if you honestly believe you way is right..... if someone i trusted told me that a bridge was out up the road, then i would believe them and i would try to tell everyone that i saw go in that direction so they would stop before goin over the cliff because i wouldnt want to see them die. now i dont know for sure that the bridge is out because i never saw it but i believe it because it was told to me by someone i trusted. if its true that the bridge is out then i could help save lives by telling what i believe and if the bridge wasnt really out then no one got hurt that didnt listen to me and went in that direction anyway.

I think if one has so much faith on his belief. then he can tell others but not in a way to impose on others. The situation im facing these days i never thought of that. and that made me to raise this issue. anywyas thanks for yours comment... dear

Salam Brother, This just proves how intolerant and judgemental people can be, it is not any of his business what religion you are and he should have no comment whatsoever. I really hope you go to the dean of your school and report him, this kind of behaviour is not acceptable anywhere but definatly not in a school environment. Please make sure you speak to someone about this, and continue to pray! and remember only Allah can judge not some intollerant teacher who knows nothing about Islam

:) thanks for yours comment dear.. Although its positive but perhaps i cant agree you if the solution is not to discuss. But if somebody doesnt have tolerence then in specific case we can say that we should tolerate and avoid such discussion.

Religion should not be pushed on anyone. If someone asks you about your religin then by of course let them know about your religin. just dont push it on them. also dont knock someone because they have different beliefs than you have respect what others believe, dont knock it.

People should be free to choose whatever religion they want. And in the end, as long as you're a good person and don't go out of your way to be nasty to anyone that's the main thing.

Now this has me angry, No one has the right to ask you not to pray let alone changing your religion. Do what you feel is right for you. As for me, I believe religion these days has become a dangerous subject, I believe the world would be better off without religion, But thats JUST my opinion.

I don't think anyone should force their beliefs on others. Especially when it comes to religion. There seems to be a lot of religious intolerence on myLot. A lot of you have to be a christian or you go to hell, or if your not islamic your an infidel.

no, nobody should force someone else to accept religion. it's a person's own choice to accept religion. if you are offended by what your professor said, you should tell him. he has no right to say that to you.

Yes brother thanks... by now i decided after discussion with others that i should concentrate on studies and try not to indulge in religious differences. Islam being flexible and tolerable religion allow us to make sacrifise under some situations.. anywyas in case he will again raise that issue may be i will try to communicate him softly that it will be better sir that we should not discuss such matters as my primary aim here is to seek technical knowledge from you and system.. :P let c..
