An industrious but nagger husband or gentle but doesnt help in housechores?

My husband is industrious. He likes to do house works but almost of the time he does not do it out of love. Every time he is doing something he always nags and utter bad words towards the other family members. There were times we already fed up of his ways. If you were in my place: Which do you prefer: an industrious but nagger husband or gentle but does not always help in house chores? I wanted to hear your opinions.

Gentle, cause I can do the chores myself and always have, half the time even with my mother around. My mother is the nagger type who never likes to do anything constructive. The slightest bit of cooking she gets in a bad mood, and has done this for several years at least now. I don't want to relive that with a husband.

First of all i think men are different just like women are. Of course one will love to have a husband that can give a helping hand and do that out of love without nagging. But sometimes you don't just get all that you want and you may have to adjust what you have to a compromise level to let peace reign
