Yesterday Andhra Pradesh GOVT.planned to have an IIT institute at Hyderabad.

It is very happy news to have an IIT institute at Hyderabad which increases in number of seats and made students so happy.Previously there are 7 IIT institutes and now increased to 8.GOVT provided 500 Crores for the construction.

I think that is a great move. As it is the highest proportion of people in IIT in the past few years has been from Andhra. This is because there are so many IIT preparation classes in Andhra, so it is good thing to have an IIT at Hyderabad. Cheers! Ram

That's really a good new for the aspiring IITians. Now there will be more seats to compete on and a bit less competition. Did Andhra Govt. get consent from Central Govt? As IITs are in hands of Central Govt. Previously, Rajasthan was also given another IIT by Central Government only after multiple requests of state government (i.e. Rajasthan Govt.)
