Can you report a private message? / myLot

There is a guy that has been sending me SPAM to my myLot inbox. He says, things like "Hey! If you like Mylot, you will love three times more this website! With instant payouts!" And he includes the link of his referral. He is very annoying but I have not seen any button to report him. IS that possible? If someone insults me, by pm do they get punished?

Yes. Spamming by PM is against the Terms of MyLot. You can either send a PM to GoAskAlice or use the Contact link at the bottom (it isn't obvious at first that you scroll down down to the bottom of the drop-down list and select 'Other'. I have reported a number of people for inappropriate behaviour or misuse of the Private Messaging system. I then, of course, immediately delete them from my 'friends' list (is THAT what friends are for??? ... Nah! Only joking!) If someone is spamming you, it is likely that they are also spamming someone else. The more people who don't tolerate that kind of behaviour and report it, the less likely that idiot is likely to be around for very long!

Using PMs to send any kind of hate mail or to harass someone is also abuse and should certainly be reported.

That is true, I enjoy getting friend requests, but I don't like when they just want something for you. Referrals for other sites for example. This person had less than 10 posts and had more than 1400 friends, after 9 months registered. I guess he is just there to lure people to his other websites.

Cannot you go on her/hes profile and report he/she anywhere? I think so. hope i helped you with this simple comment. Regards oliver

Hi there, I think yes. If that is unsolicited messages and something that has offended you you may report it to admin. You might also consider telling that person not to send you messages like that and it is a spam message and not prohibited in mylot's TOS. Happy Lotting!

Hi danity, I think they should add a "report this message" button for PM aswell. They have it for posts, and I don't think it would be too hard to add for the Mylot programmers, most of the sites, forums etc in the internet have a button like that. Cheers.
