Anybody Using Gelish Nails?

I'm putting this discussion in the topic of happiness because one thing that makes me happy is nice fingernails. Some people might think that is vain as there are probably more important things in the world to worry about and/or spend money on, but I have just always liked a pretty clean looking French Manicure. Usually I do my own. Recently I went to a salon and had them put the soak off shellac on my nails in order to watch and see how a professional does it. Then I went home and ordered all the equipment and supplies to do my own. All the stuff got here in time so when my salon nails were two weeks old and ready to take off I was able to soak them off and start over. They came out great. It took me two hours to do the first hand because there was a learning curve, but the second one went faster and I got the old stuff off and the new stuff on and cured in less than one hour. Probably when I get really good at this it will take only a half hour for both. Anybody else using Gelish or shellac or any of the other soak off nail products or thinking about trying one of them? I love the fast drying time (10 seconds for the foundation with an LED dryer) and how once they are done they are hard like glass and nothing can mess them up.

That sounds really good, gives a happy feeling indeed. Never tried it but the way you have told - it's alluring. Who doesn't want nice fingernails! I will have to look for it here though. Have seen fake nails but Gelish nails sound great!

Mimpi, these nails are so great. They look and feel like my own but are smooth and shiny and just about indestructible. It took me a while to get them on the first time, but it was not at all difficult...just a bit time-consuming on the first try. I bought a mini-airbrush, too, to spray the white tips on perfectly, but have not used it yet as the paint was shipped separately and has not arrived yet.

Hope you are enjoying the beautiful fingernails. I have looked for this in a store here and they said they do sell gelish nails. But the stock stays limited. I have asked them to call me once the next stock arrives. Thanks dear for letting me know.

Warning on the gelish, though, as you need professional equipment to "cure" it, you cannot just put it on and air dry. The official LED curing lamp retails for about $350 USD, but I got a look-alike online for $99 USD, still expensive, but as these manicures would cost $35 to $65 USD each at a salon, I will regain my investment very quickly.
