If the driver’s mind can be read by the car?

Globally, traffic accidents rank very high among the causes of death and are largely caused by human error. So if any such technology can be developed whereby a car would be able to read the driver’s mind, many accidents can be avoided. If the brain waves of drivers are read and the information used to speed up braking, thousands of car crashes can be avoided. I have heard that scientists are working hard to develop such a technology and if they become successful there will be a revolution in controlling road traffic accidents. Is not it?

Considering the growth of technology i guess there will be cars some day that can drive without the need for a driver! But i dont think anything will actually read drivers mind. But a car might do something to stop the accident when it figures that some mishap is going to happen.

Though it would be great if there was a car that was able to read the mind of the driver, but in that case it would be even better to have a car that ran completely in auto pilot. The thought of something like that is a great thought, but I think that it is something that is far into the future that we will have vehicles that are able to do that. But, there have been some good strides, such as the back-up warnings and such.

This would surely be an excellent innovation. I haven't been driving in roads where traffic is dense because, i am sure that it will lead to some road mishaps. But, if this thing gets through, I might start to muster enough courage to drive my car or truck just like any other confident driver to make it throught those roads day after day.
