Have you ever tried selling abroad? I have a client from Hawaii who would like to order, but the problem is shipping. The rates are far too expensive that the item itself. Can somebody help me?

What items are you selling? You might want to try Philpost instead of the more expensive door to door couriers like DHL if what you are selling is not really that expensive or needed right away. Remember to always inform your buyer of different shipping options or if you are offering insurance options. Oh last word, buyer always shoulders shipping costs not unless you are offering free shipping.

Was gonna say what @louievill said. Most buyers pay the shipping costs, unless the seller offers to pay.

I do sell items to international buyers. Whenever I sell something, I always put in "Shipping cost not included in the price" and "Shipping cost is to be handled by the buyer" since I really don't know how much the shipping cost would be. If I have an interested buyer, I'll then go to 2 or 3 couriers and/or our local post office and get their rates for shipping (always note to know the total weight of the item before inquiring about shipping fee) then inform the buyer of the shipping fee. It'll be up to the buyer to decide if they will still get the package or not after providing the final price. Shipping is ALWAYS a problem when it comes to transacting items internationally :(
