Facebook help needed

I was using my facebook and it told me that it had to confirm my identity by phone number. I gave my phone number and click the text option but nothing is coming to my phone. Does anyone know why this would be? It won't even let me in but the text is not coming through either.

Why in the world would FaceBook be asking for your phone number in the first place? I have never encountered this. Maybe you just typed you log in information wrong. I think if we exceed so many log in attempts, it locks us out, then we have to have our accounts verified. And the worst part is, there is no phone number to call for information. Let me know if you get it fixed, I am now curious.

While I was logging in. I know I had the right password because I was just there a little while earlier too.

It did that to me not too long ago too. It kept telling me that I wasn't me.. not sure who they wanted me to be for the day.. but I kept hitting skip and finally sent a note to the administrators and after that it was okay. I haven't had any more problems.

Mac how do I send a note to the administrators? Is there a contact somewhere on fb? It will not let me on I gave correct phone number and everything.
