They do have a very bad reputation, but I know a friend that had one and she was a very sweet and friendly dog. I think that the way they are raised has a lot to do with their temperment. We used to have a rottweiler who was a completly harmless suck. People would cross the street just to avoid her. She was a big dog, but as harmless as they come. Any dog can be aggressive even tiny ones.
I love to hear about animals being rescued. Its good to know that they have a loving home. Do you have any pics of your girls?

That is wonderful. We found a pit bull once that was starving and took her to the animal control. But once we got there decided to keep her and give it a try. That was the beginning of a puppy love. Since then I have learned so much about the breed. The puppy we have now is because my neighbors friend couldn't keep him anymore and couldn't find him a home. They were gonna take hime to the shelter but once we heard I had to have him. I don't regret it at all.
