How to use energy therapy to relieve headaches?

I often get headaches and feel my head is splitting. My son said he read in an online site that energy can be used to relieve pain in any part of the body. Have you heard about this and is it safe? Its funny but he raised two fingers and 'drew' energy from the light and touched my head and asked me to imagine a ball of energy is curing it. After two times, my headache simply vanished.
