Why such peculiar behaviour of the Indian communists?

The Communist Manifesto always exhorts workers of all countries to unite, but Indian communists always delight in dividing themselves. Even the most arduous analysis of leftist politics in India will find it difficult to count the exact number of communist parties in the country. What is the underlying cause behind such behaviour of the Indian communists? Is there at all any ideological basis behind such conflicts or is it due to fight among them over failure to hold key position in the party and to take full control of the party?

Indian communists [read parties] refuse to acknowledge & take into account contemporary socioeconomic realities. They are stuck with blind ideology of communism, which was perhaps relevant at some point in history in parts of world. The irony is that pragmatism has more than proved that communism is almost extinct in the birth places because it is irrelevant, is not being recognized. You can't blame them because democratic living provides some space for people of diverse ideological views to exist and at least two states have given them foothold. Local socio-cultural dimensions may be reasons for this in the two states but it seems to be dwindling, as is already established in West Bengal. No one need do anything more: what doesn't work will be extinct. Communists are already rendered irrelevant to a great extent right now. But you never know, changed socioeconomic situations may resurrect them! Just saying.

I dont like communism at all.Look at those communist countries. How many of these countries actually value human rights? So let us hope that communism doesnt grow in india.I know that in my state kerala they have strong presence but i personally dont vote for them. Also, communists in west bengal are actually allies of china even thoguh china is a strategic enemy of india.

Indian commmunists has a different of opinion with Lenin and Karl Marx doctrine, they also find it difficult to accept Chairman Mao's economic idealogy for their ardent supporter among Indian workers that doesn't enable them to a firm grip on perpetual political power inside India. Their peculiar behavior is grown out of necessity that is suited for the region in light of the present political reality on the ground within India.

The Filipino is said to be regional and divided, too in so many beliefs and political issues. We blame this on our geographical setting. We are an archipelago and most islands are divided by body of waters. We have different regional cultures and tradition which make us divided on so many issues. The communist organization here has been in long struggle in winning people's support but until now, they fail because people are not one in political interest and many have their own way of looking at issues.
