Traped, mind triggered

Recently, while travelling in the tube, i suddenly had to go to the loo to pee. To my aghast, the train stopped in it's tracks as soon as my urge to pee surfaced. Talk about timing. Within a minute, there was an announcement that due to technical difficulties, train service will resume in another 15 mins. There was a sigh of relief among my fellow commuters. The guy beside me commented that 15 mins waiting was alright as he had waited for more than an hour before. But to me, another minute of waiting would mean i would have watered my pants. Don't know what happened, but suddenly my mind wandered to the American civil rights movement of the 60's. I recall having read that sometimes the blacks were not allowed to use the toilets in the trains as it were meant for whites. So, if a black person back in the 60s in America who wanted to go to the loo cannot do so until the next station arrives. But the next station would arrive in an hour or even more later. They really suffered. Really amazing and disturbing to know how they had suffered just to use a loo. Anyone here to share their personal expereiences or stories about suffering humiliations of this sort?
