Buying branded may be better than bargained

I always prefer branded products with very clear price display [including discounts indicated or promo offer displayed]to bargaining with unbranded stuff. No one can have perfect knowledge about what is the right price for the type of product or its variations that determine price. I find it better to rely on printed price because it indicates to me that the seller is clear and does not wish to capitalize on customer guessing & play on their psyche. I am never sure when bargaining whether I paid the right price or not, even if I tend to think I bargained hard. One might say [in support of bargaining with unbranded products] the affordability determines what one pays for a certain item and so long as one has got an item at the price he or she can afford, there is reason to be satisfied. But pure price determined buying may not give one the best product. I'm not for a moment suggesting we encourage only the best in class or international brands but all I am saying is that customers should always look for brand reputation and transparent price tags.
