I personally would choose a hamster (of course they're also my favorite animal so this is of course incredibly bias) In my opinion hamsters are cuter, sweeter and easier to take care of. That been said however, in my opinion Guinea pigs are much more responsive. A hamster is gonna do what it wants but a guinea pig will interact more than a hamster will. Of course I'm basing this off of my friends guinea pigs. I've never had one it was hamsters and mice. But growing up some of my friends had guinea pigs. They are very cute. I've been lucky in that only 3 of the many hamsters I had were biters. Only on

personally, i would like the guine pig better, because they are more hairy and cuter. But both are easy to maintain I think unlike any other pets. Just be sure to take care of them. Don't you want to consider rabbits? they are cute too. and easy to breed.

Wow! Rabbits make good pets, they never get mad easily and always cool. I like them a lot.

I think these two are very similar but if I am not mistaken the guinnea pig is larger and maybe a little more hairy! They will both need about the same amount of care. They need cages that they can run around in so that they can stay healthy and try using a water bottle for thier drinking needs as I found the bowls spill everywhere and you'll constantly be cleaning up the cage! Hold them a lot and make them gentle that way and you will really enjoy whichever you decide to get.

yes..they are kinda similar..but i think guinea pigs need more attention than hamsters..i still need to do some research about it..so that i won't waste money and also the lives of the cutie pets..

guinea pigs are more cuter than rodents.. if I was to buy one I wold choose those cute ones. unfortunately I don't own one and thinking about the maintenance I've had to do over taking care of then is something I find quite tough. Dogs and puppies are still the easiest to take care of - well, that's for me =)

i also love dogs..but considering the area i'm living right now, dogs won't fit in..and it's very expensive also to buy and to take care a cutie dog..they are really like humans.. i'm thinking of guinea pigs now..though i'm still a little bit confused..guinea pigs and hamsters are both cute for me..
