Who doesn't a person who have suffered this terible illness or that have died for this illness, almost everybody have lived the experience to see how this can take health and strength of people we know. Breasts also known as the mammary glands are a pair of glandular organs whose basic function is to produce milk at the time of childbirth when hormonal changes take place. Our breasts are comprised of fatty tissue, which begin from the front of the chest and further expand down and around the area of the armpit. Each breast is hold up by ligaments and large muscles. These parts of our body are obcject of seeing this day because of the women that this sickness took their life. Breast Cancer is a form of cancer that forms in tissues of the breast, usually the ducts which carry the milk to the nipple and lobules that make milk. It is the resultant of an abnormal cell growth in one or both breasts. These infected cells further invade nearby tissues and form a mass, called a malignant tumor. Because of this is very important that we touch ourselves every month and check to see if feel an abnormal cell growing in one or both breasts. Is important to know that we know that breast cancer is not a women sickness only, breast cancer occurs in both men and women, although male breast cancer is rare. these are some risks that increase the posibility of breast cancer: Old age Genetic alterations Using hormone therapy after menopause Lack of physical activity Being overweight or obese Not breast-feeding Not having children, or not having children until after age 30 Drinking alcoholic beverages Obesity Your race and ethnicity We can know if something is not correct in our body when this happen: After examining and understanding the usual state of your breasts, look out for any changes that are new or unusual in your breast, such as: Changes in breast size A nipple that has become inverted (pulled in) or changed its position or shape Rashes on or around the nipple Discharge from any of your nipples Puckering or dimpling of the skin Has the area around your armpit or around your collarbone swelled? Lump or thickening in your breast Steady pain in one part of your breast or armpit that is unusual So I only want that you take this day to touch yourselve and make it a custome, monthly touch your breast to see any change. I write this discussion hoping all my lotter friends be free of cancer and praying for those who already have being diagnose with it. Blesses! “I am joining the more than 200,000 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. We are a testament to the importance of early detection and new treatments ... I am inspired by the brave women who have faced this battle before me and grateful for the support of family and friends.” Sheryl Crow

Hi Rosa I can join in too - I am in for such a noble cause. I am suffering from Ulcerative Colitis since 2000 and have been at home due to its packaged illness - Arthritis. Initially I started out by sulking but now, I have accepted the fact and am fighting it my own way. Doctors and websites have mentioned that it will turn to cancer someday soon. But I have to live till I die and I am going to fight it... better battle it. Thanks for suck an informative post. It does remind me of my MyLot friend Binthu now not seen for a while here.

Thanks rosa for those kind words and I too believe in the Miracles of the Lord. Have even been blessed to have tasted one - i was bed reidden for 8 months when Arthritis had first attacked me and I was near to killing myself. Then one night He appeared in my dreams and mentioned - Do you think the pain is worth giving up your life? Smiling he brushed His hands on my head and that was all that I remember. The next day, I could stand up all on my own, and even walk to the toilet. Since then, the pain has been there no doubt, but I have never been on the bed. As for Binthu, she was a lotter who disappeared and then her profile too went away. She always came up with great posts on Health and your writeup reminded me of her. Though you will not be able to find her avatar now, but you can see her here - http://www.mylot.com/w/image/2433068.aspx She is on the 5th Row(from top), and 6th from left. I had done this pic 10 months back. The next one will be on again on 31st Dec and You would be there too
