Come clean - what do you all REALLY think of men who do things like.... manicures, pedicures, facials, dye their hair, get hair implants, facelifts, botox, lipsuction, etc. And don't tell me men don't do any of these things because I can sure as heck tell you that it's not ONLY women paying for these options! I say to each his own... I probably wouldn't do those last 4 things myself so I have really no clue why anybody of either gender thinks those are a great idea.

Well, I wouldn't really call them liars per se but I myself find it weird when men do some women vanity stuff such as mani & pedi, facials, skin whitening, and do you know that they now have a so-called "masculine wash"? They say that men who do that are called "metrosexual". But honestly and not that I'm judging but I think there's really no such thing as being metrosexual, perhaps just being gay? I don't know. But that's my own opinion and again, not really judging but just a general wondering. A guy friend of mine also finds it weird and wonders why some men do those stuff. He said that a real man doesn't really care that much about his looks. But honestly I do like doing some girly vanity stuff myself but not to the point of botox, face lifts, etc, just the simple make-up and good grooming.

Just the idea of botox is icky... botulism? Apparently it 'freezes' your muscles to prevent or get rid of the lines or wrinkles. It would make sense to have something that fills it in to remove the line but not something that actually freezes your face. Plus i have seen the huge list of potential side effects, ugh. If you're talking about body wash for men, yep! Dove makes one and there are also others, like Axe, Dial, Old Spice, etc. I don't think they are really any different than the other washes, they are just scented more for a guy, since what guy really wants to smell like raspberry pie?

Ugh, Botox! I know that you mean, and I still don't understand why some people use that. I just can't imagine having to deal with a super tight face. And is it true that one of its ingredients is a fetus? Raspberry pie! Haha! Yeah I guess it's just more of for scent rather than for cleansing coz they say that a guy's area is the cleanest part of their body. Hmmmmm.....

I must hang around in the wrong circles, cuz I don't even know ANY man that's had any of that stuff done. I'm 100% what-you-see-is-what-you-get...........and unlike my purple bald buddy up there.....I haven't even had a haircut in well over 10 years. ........sorry ladies.........I'm taken...........deal with it

10years? TEN YEARS? So you haven't had a haircut since I was 27? Yikes. Hey, are you that guy who was wearing the hair suit I bumped into at the Orleans buffet last October? My little girl thought it was interesting, that's for sure. She asked me later how you were able to grow it so long and wrap it well to avoid wearing clothes....

Well I have never known any man who did this. I have never done any of it either. I believe in being natural and if the people who look at me cannot handle it that is their problem not mine. I do not believe in the beauty myth and I have no interest in pretending I am younger than I am. In fact the men I have spoken to over the years tell me they do not like this sort of stuff on anyone. The only people who ever mention it to me are women. My female boss wanted me to die my grey hair and wear make up and high heels. Yuk. I did experiment with dying my hair for a few years until it went white on top and now I have white and grey hair. I hate make up and I think high heels are dangerous nasty things to be avoided at all costs.

Well I never liked the feel of makeup on my skin nor can I be bothered painting my nails since they break too often. I have occasionally worn a small amount when going out but for everyday I would never bother.

Ugh. Heels are mostly not fun at all. I may wear them for an evening out but I'd never wear them daily and definitely not for work. I try to be nice to my feet, especially if I'm training for something and running more than 30-40 miles a week. I pretty much live in my running shoes or flip flops or I go barefoot. I like a little makeup but the deal with that is you are not supposed to really look like you're wearing it. Yes someone would notice that I'm wearing lipstick or something but because it looks good, not because it's garish and overdone. Same with other things like eye shadow or liner. It should look good, not like 'HELLO THERE, my name is makeup' lol!

I'm with you (even though I am a girl) I do not want any of those done to me! I won't even do a manicure or pedicure.. I don't like anyone touching my feet! I dye my own hair because it's cheaper.. but guys...you gotta think most of these are typically considered feminine. But hair implants (unecessary) I could see.

LOL! I do like manicures and pedicures but I never do them often enough. I don't trim my hair often enough either. I have seen more than my share of guys who probably spend more time and money on themselves than I do, at least from a grooming perspective. Oh well.... that means I have natural beauty and good genetics lmao! And all my hair!

I'm a girl and I would probably never do any of those listed above! I don't like the idea of someone else touching my feet and fixing up my nails. I prefer just to do it myself, I'm not much of a girly girl so manicures and all that are out of my list! Now there are men who do these kind of things? They're called metrosexuals, men who like to fix themselves up and look good. I've heard of guys and boyfriends who take longer to get ready than their girlfriends! But personally, guys who do this are very unattractive for me, it's like having another woman by your side. Back then, men were always stereotyped to be always getting down and dirty. They would come home all covered in oil and dirt and men back then would never consider a pedicure! Times have changed so much!

Hehehe! The only reason I get manicures and pedicures is to get rid of hangnails, ragged cuticles, and to get rid of calluses and have my feet massaged. It kind of defeats the purpose to try and do it yourself, so not relaxing. I had a friend who used to tease her husband and call him a metrosexual because he was one of those kinds of guys... manicures, nice suits and shoes... he took longer to get ready than she did. In her defense, she was a cute girl, she didn't have to do much to get ready for a night out lol.

I see no problem with men having various treatments and procedures to improve their appearance. If they have the disposable income to do so, why not? I used to work in a corporate setting and one of our senior male managers used to get his nails done. He had such nice hands, I swear LOL He was always immaculately dressed.. beautiful suits and shoes.. his hair was nice and his nails were always so clean and healthy. I thought he looked like a very "put together" man. When we had the chance to meet his wife, she too was very elegant. Clearly, they were making a generous income and were able to treat themselves well. The way I see it, I color my hair and have for a few years... if I can cover up the grey around my temples, I don't see why a man can't as well One man I know colors his beard. I can understand why he does that because I'm sure having grey in the beard can really age a man's appearance. Some people look fabulous with grey or salt and pepper hair... others don't. All about personal preference and what makes someone feel good on the inside as well as the outside
