I am a student of a college which is not prestigious overall. But I find that it's very important to persist in things that you aim at in spite of the environment. However, I think I'm a man who is easy to quit especially when the goal is vague. So friends in mylot, could you tell me some ways that can inspire one person to hold on to no matter what happens? I really want to succeed in one weigh thing through perseverance.

Set goals in life. In that way, whenever you think of the goals, you will feel the urge to continue and persevere. Having an inspiration is also a good way. When you're inspired, you become optimistic and you feel like everything is going well.

I think you are already on the right track since this obviously means enough to you that you are have not quit and instead are looking for motivation. Just find a way to remind yourself of why you started school in the first place and I think you will be just fine. Proof positive you dont quit everything if you did you would have never made it to 88 discussions here on my lot, have a little faith in yourself fellow mylotter you can and will succeed in this.

It is easy to get distracted and let go when the going gets tough. So, I think you should practice concentration so that you can remain in the topic without going astray. Five minutes of total absorbed reading is better than one hour of playing with the book and looking here and there. Choose a quiet place.

Hi, Your question takes me back more than about 40 years when I was, like you in college. In fact, I had just then joined my first year of technical degree. That was after I had taken a break for an year due to the usual thing that happens to most lads & lasses when they think they couldn't make the grade to what they wanted to do. And I had joined a college in another big city. Being home sick and slightly low on confidence, my initial stay away from home was shaky. I used to go back home at every small reason or occasion. My parents were worried if I would opt out again. During one of those short holiday running away, my eldest sister mocked at me when I pretended to invite her to visit the city I was studying. She wryly remarked that I should first stabilize myself with my stay & study without which my invitation was meaningless & hollow. That made a very deep impact on me. I realized immediately that no one would consider us worthy if we did not prove ourselves. Including my family. That became the last time when I would find an excuse to run back to home town. I decide to focus on a target. The target was set by my sister and I accepted the challenge to succeed. Believe me, thereafter, I remained completely steadfast and not only completed my degree but did that with distinction. So, I am getting at the point. allow yourself to be challenged, provoked or shaken and take the challenge. Remain focused & steadfast. Persist with your passion and prove your mettle. Wish you luck!

Just be optimistic always think positive I know that sounds unconvincing but it really helps especially when your getting tired of persisting it keeps you working. And another thing is look for some inspiration, remind yourself why you need to achieve your goal what's the consequences if you quit and just believe in yourself that whatever it is that's trying to stop you from going on you can overcome it

me too..i also consider my self to be easy to quit, especially when i feel tired and very down..but 1 thing i learned is to never giver up no matter what.. i know not everything will turn well as we always planned..but we must never lose hope, faith and perseverance..we must try it again and again.. we must only what we want to do..focus on that goal..and we must do everything to reach our goal..if we fail, then we must get up and try again..it doesn't matter how we fail..what matters most is what we do after we failed.. good luck to us both..i'm now enrolling myself again to a new course..i'll be following my dreams..it's gonna be a hard also for me..but i will make sure that i'll never give up on this.. so you, never give up.. :)

Just having a goal can help you motivate on what is your doing. An inspiration is also a must like whom will you dedicate it and why you wanna win it. Be competitive and confident on what you do, trials are just a stepping stone to success
