well my friend had a discussion about driving a car on who is better driver women or men.i think men are better drivers then women as they are strong enough to handle the speed and the rhythm of the car and they are well aware about the technicality's of a car what do you think men are better at driving right?

I have heard about men are better than women drivers as long as i live but i still dont agree. Coz most accident that happened are mostly men drivers, always they are in hurry and like to race and do drift. When it comes to buying cars it is good to buy a car that is own by women drivers compared to men. The car will be in a better conditioned that was owned by women driver right?

I don't think it makes any difference. driving does not require a great deal of physical strength, and is well within the capabilities of most peoples strength. so while a lot of men are physically stronger than a lot of women, that difference makes no difference in driving ability. and a woman is just as capable of understanding the technicalities of a car. so neither of your arguments as to why men are better drivers actually mean anything whatsoever.

I don't agree with that at all. neither gender is born knowing how to drive a car. both are equally capable of learning.

galena yes it does not make a diffrence but important thing is that balance abd handling of a car needs to be in a correct way and men does it quite naturally then women.

I think that the male mind is well set up for driving. Many males in my home country pass their practical driving test first time which is amazing. Lots of ladies find it difficult and challenging to learn how to drive. At 19 years old a females like to drive a small car and a male feels totally happy handling a big car. It took me years to learn to drive a car. I passed my theory test with ease but failed the practical driving test a number of times. I finally passed it last year and I drive a small five door car. I know one man that suffers from road rage. He is a poor driver and got followed home by a plain clothed police man. He thought the man was drunk but that was his normal driving.

If you want my honest opinion on the matter, I think that about eighty percent of the people that are on the streets should really not be on them. Okay, maybe I am exaggerating these statistics slightly, but still my point stands. There are a lot of people on the road, both men and women, who really should not be on that road. For the safety of the other people who do have a brain in their skull and the ability to drive. Just because you can drive, doesn't mean you should. There are a lot of people out on that road, where I wonder how they managed to pass their driving exam. Then again, there have been times where through constant study and the ability to be competent for about an hour, people have done rather well in other things. Therefore, they are competent long enough to have the driver's license. From every group man and woman, young and old, rich and poor, there are going to be a lot of bad drivers.

Yeah it is true if you live in a country like India. Here women driving a car is dangerous. And yes they are not even aware of the technicalities of the car they are driving!

hi!there "women driving a car is dangerous" yes i agree with this statement if they don't know how to drive it.but some women are good drivers also but majority of them don't know about the technology of a car.

I don't drive but I am learning, and I am sure that when I begin to drive I will do it correctly. I don't think the women drive bad driving, my two sisters and they have been never in a car accident, they drive correctly and caring their life and the others life. I don't think men are better or women. I think that there are a lot men bad drivers and a lot of women bad drivers too, so it depends.

I don't think men are better drivers. Between my husband and I, he is the worse driver. He has had 2 accidents and multiple tickets. I have never had an accident or any tickets. I think people just pay more attention to the stupid women drivers but let guys go when they do something stupid while driving.

Regardless whether you are a male or a female, driving is a skill. There are males and females who are good in driving and there are those that are also not. Driving requires concentration coupled with consideration and anticipation. If you drive and you lack those things... then most likely you will suffer and accident regardless whether you are a man or a woman.

I don't think that it's fair to assume that just because one woman isn't a good driver, all women aren't good drivers. Most of the women I know with driver's licenses are good drivers. There are some men who really aren't good drivers as well.

May I ask which country you're from? Here in America we have women just as strong as men, and men who aren't nearly as strong as women. Being a good driver has nothing to do with gender, and everything to do with your concentration and dedication. I see men sitting on their cell phones while driving and not paying attention, just as much as women. It also doesn't have much to do with how "strong" you are, but rather, how attentive and careful you are. I totally disagree with you.

I think it is not about being a man or woman rather it's about discipline and eagerness to learn. There are lots of men who suckk in driving because they learn about the basics and feel as if they already know a lot about driving and drive recklessly while there are also girls who drives very well because they try to keep improving and are very disciplined, actually the number of women in the racing industry is getting more and more.
