The American people have finally woke up to that our political system does not work for the better of all Americans. I knew this fact every since I was a child. What took the rest of the people to wake up every minority American knew this. That our country was being ruined by way of political graft and corruption. I’m no political scientist but I think that our political institutions should be reformed from the Presidency, Supreme Court, and especially Congress. There should be: 1. That the two party system be reform so that the political system is fair to all political parties and candidates 2. limit lobbying by corporate lobbyists 3. Term limits for Congress, no more career politicians 4. Overturn Citizens United States Case that corporations are protected by the 1st amendment I know there are more things that needs overhauling, but this would be a start to leveling the political playing field for all American Citizens.

Occupy Wall Street would have more clout if the people were actually united in anything besides just being there. Everyone there stands for something different and some people don't really stand for anything. 1. That would have to be done on a state by state basis. Even so, it wouldn't help because even if each state had fair and equal rules for political parties, the media controls the debates and they are the reason the average American knows nothing about 3rd parties. 2. It can't and won't happen. Any politician who pretends to do something about it is even worse than the ones who do nothing because the real goal of liars like that are to prevent other people's lobbyists while increasing power for their own. Obama's anti-lobbyist bit was a joke. 3. I'm willing to bet 80-90% of the people in this country support that. Unfortunately, career politicians in the house and senate don't and they are the only ones with the power to make that change. 4. Much like Roe v. Wade it can't be changed unless a new challenge goes to the Supreme Court and they decide differently. Protesting over it will accomplish nothing.

Why so pessimistic? You don’t believe in We the People. A lot of change has come about when everyone thought it was impossible to be accomplished. Term limits can become a reality if we demand it from our leaders, and then there would be no more so-called career politicians. The debate format should be revamped where colleges, universities, civic and community groups would conduct some of the political debates. The whole system must be reformed; as for Roe v. Wade there will never be an overturn regardless of how many challenges to this ruling, it is a woman’s choice how she treats her body and I think 90-95% of them would agree.

Taskr36 this doesn't prove that I'm wrong the Gallup poll you cite is a general poll of the public and not women only. I think most women would want a choice to decide the fate of her body and the life inside her. I do think life starts at the moment of conception not that political mumbo-jumbo or double speak, but it still should be left up the the individual woman; each case or situation is different for this reason there shouldn't be a one size fit all circumstance.

Clearly you didn't read the poll sirnose. It CLEARLY separates the results by gender and I even provided you with the numbers where it stated "The latest poll had 49% of women being pro-life and 46% pro-abortion."

Anyone who actually believes all this "occupy" garbage is doing any good is crazy in the head. These are a bunch of bums who have nothing to do with their time. If they really want to change things, they need to help vote the right people into office. Stop voting along party lines and vote for the best person for the job.
