In a thrilling encounter in the 3rd ODI, Zimbabwe upset New Zealand by chasing a target of 328 with one wicket pending in the last over to end the series at 2-1 loss. The hero of the match for Zimbabwe was Waller who scored an unbeaten 99 and shored up the tail in the excellent chase. Ross Taylor was the hero turned villain for Newzealand as after scoring a fantastic century when New Zealand was batting, he came back to drop Waller an incredible three times as Waller encashed on this to win the match for Zimbabwe. Cheers! Ram

I actually think this was a one off win. It is not possible for Zimbabwe to win consistently. They can play one or two games very well and then they go into their regular slump. Cheers! Ram

NZ won the series, but this last match was an big upset for them. Same is what happened with WI vs Bangladesh. two NZ player scored the century and their team end up in the losing side, but in Zimbabwe side not even a single player scored a ton, but they won the match.

Yes, both WI and NZ were gunning for a series whitewash. But both of them failed in the final match. That is why India's whitewash of England was that much more satisfying. Cheers! Ram

A great win for Zimbabwe, chasing a record target of 329 achieved it on fifth ball of the final over with last man in to bat. A great news for Zimbabwe cricket battered by internal problems. The target, set by great batting from Ross Taylor and Williamson, both scoring centuries, was overhauled by great batting display by Zimbabwe set up by their skipper Brendan Taylor who scored 75 of 65 balls well supported by Tatenda Taibu, 53 of 35 balls and coolly finished by Waller scoring 99 of 74 balls. Waller, who scored the winning run of the fifth ball of the final over could have completed his century going for a big hit but for him Zimbabwe win was more important than individual landmark. Congratulations Zimbabwe on a fabulous win.

Ross Taylor played very well for his century. But he let down his team with his fielding as he dropped Waller 3 times. But it was really a top class knock by Waller!! Cheers! Ram
