... don't show up to buy it?? Craigslist is a great tool but it really sucks when you list something and you get people who offer to purchase and then they don't show up or never get back to you!! I have bought several local things on craigslist and I ALWAYS follow through if I bothered to contact the person about an item!
WHY am I stuck fielding the idiots who claim they want something but they really don't? Also, how often is it 'okay' to keep relisting something? I have some stuff I really need to get rid of and I'd prefer to sell it.... even REALLY CHEAP rather than just getting rid of it. However, I can't just keep making a new listing every freaking day.
What gives?? Why would someone flake like this?

Whenever I've posted something on Craigslist, I will actually never take the posting down until the item that I'm selling is actually physically out of my hands. I will keep a list of those people that responded to the item and get in touch with those people until the item is gone.
However, my main gripe about Craigslist is the fact that people try to always give you lowball offers. My husband decided to sell his VW Bug because it doesn't have heat and he'd found another cheap vehicle that he wanted to buy. He had two people offer him half of his asking price. He didn't sell it to either of them and held on to it until someone came along that did give him his asking price.

I also don't want those buyer that will ask many things then promise you that they are sure that they will get that certain item and get back to on that then when you text them for confirmation, they don't reply back or they will say next time.they don't think the time that you waste for them just to reply their questions.

Oh this really irriates me as well. I dont sell on craigslist. I sell things on facebook and ebay. I rarely do ebay anymore and I rarely have time to have yard sales so lately the bigger toys and things I've been selling on facebook. I've had one person stand me up and that annoyed me. She didnt bother to tell me she had changed her mind about the item until I told her that someone else wanted it so I needed to know if she was still interested. Then she said oh no I dont I'm sorry I forgot to tell you. Ugh.

I'm sorry you had to deal with a no show. They really stink sometimes! One time I was offering to give away free clothes, and I made plans for a man to come pick them up, and I was the one who didn't show! I felt so guilty, it was awful. Our pipes had burst and it was the middle of winter so I had a lot on my mind. I wrote him an apologetic email, and we ended up meeting up at the library to exchange the clothes. I felt so awful after it had initially happened, but I'm so glad he understood and got the clothes he wanted.
