the new renters

Well some new guy(s) are renting the house I've previously discussed about. These sunshines have a lawn/landscape/plow business. Apparently they think the garage that is there is their new company garage. There are constantly various vehicles in the drive including several that are label with said business on their doors. Now I don't know about you but last time I checked our neighborhood is considered "residential" not commercial. I'm all for small businesses but when they become an eye sore. Now I hope they are just getting the plows on and the trucks will be removed I pray. What's topping the cake as to why this now annoys me a neighbor died earlier this year across from the renters. The neighbors have kept up the yard so it looks decent and doesn't attract trouble. Well apparently the new renters who have been there maybe a month or so have now parked one of the company trucks in her driveway. I dunno about you but who'd they get permission from? Did they ask her personally? If so I'd like to know how they found her as we don't even know what happened to her after the coroner took her away or what's going on with the house.
Oh I also failed to mention there is currently the box of a truck (detached from the cab and frame)on their front lawn and alot of pipe. Nonetheless there's between 4-10 vehicles parked there or on the road at any give time.
The other week they also knocked down the neighbor next to the rental's mailbox. I was surprised he had the dignity to fix it. Though the eyesore that yard is with all those vehicles parked everywhere surly isn't going to help that neighbor sell their house. Is this a small business? Auto shop? or just a disaster in the making? Last time I looked it was residential on our block not a mechanics shop.
Either way I'm going to watch this for the next week and then see if I decide or if another neighbor decides to call it in (I'll probably see the "resident expert" of the neighborhood tomorrow and hear what he thinks or has done). Though I'm sure I'll have to call the town as that's where the empty house is and see what they can tell me about the status of the house. And the city then because the rental is the Mayors rental (literally) and the house where the renters live is in the city.

These people need to realize that they can't use just anyone's yard to park their vehicles in. I don't understand why people can't respect the property of others and follow the rules that go with anything they are renting. You may have to call and complain, but since it is a house that belongs to the mayor you may not be able to get anything done with it.

It's not a house he lives in but see the previous post to Hatley ^ . He has gotten in trouble with it before as he does not mow the lawn nor the tenants and part of the mowing is on a portion of land that is owned by the state since it's off a hwy and it could possibly impair a drivers vision.

Around here that would not be allowed. I have seen where some do the same and turn their garages into businesses and have been called in by neighbors. There are penalty and fines for doing so.
I am sure you will not be the only one upset with what you are seeing and is happening so others will be calling and getting this checked out.

It wouldn't bother me if it was say something where he had his personal vehicle and then worked on one vehicle at a time BUT trucks w/ company logo's on it and selling one by the roadside (wich a previous renter got in trouble for trying to sell a boat on that corner).
I feel guilty bout my kids bikes being out but that's nothing compared to vehicles!!

That would be a pain.....in our town they are right on top of something like that...why? Because they want those people to have a business in a proper area...oh and then the city will make more taxes off them! I think it's great. I would hate to have all the crap sitting in a house near me!

What a terrible pain! I'd be pretty darn frustrated too. They probably make a whole ton of noise. Doesn't it seem like less and less people care about those around them anymore? Makes me so sad sometimes.

Yes indeed they are making quite a bit of noise. Nope no consideration for people or property, they figure they rent so they don't have to give a ______ ! But I own my house and I can't move. And I surly don't think the one neighbor will be able to sell their house either with that disaster brooding. I dread if that turns into a rental as well.

The people that live two doors up from us own their own bodyshop business and for a while he was doing all of his work from the house and it could be quite noisy at times. However, I never complained about it because before he started doing it, he did come down and talk to us about it. I would have complained if he had not had the courtesy to talk to us.
However, with the eyesore that this house and its residents sound like, I think that I would have to complain about it to the city.
