Like you, India, and the currency is Rupee or Rupees. Lower denomination is paise or paisa (abbr= p), 100 paise=1 Rupee (Singular Rupee= Re, Plural Rupees= Rs) The Indian rupee vis-a-vis the US dollar ($1 US= Rs. 45 (approx))
