Just a small complaint.

I know I probably shouldn't complain about anything on here, but there is one thing that is just bugging the crap out of me and I know it probably won't get changed. I just need to make a bit of a rant, sorry ahead of times guys!
One of the settings on the site is that you can't copy and paste unless you have a score of 500. It makes sense, it really does I mean it can stop spam. The problem comes in when your laptop makes a mistake while you're typing, well at least when mine is. My laptop has a habit of registering me hitting the ctrl key so when I type a z and its registering a hit of 'ctrl' then it will undo what I just typed. Not such a big thing if I can just hit redo, but the site registers that as me pasting something. So I was stuck having to retype a full paragraph because I do not have a score of 500.
I don't really know of a way to change this or make things better, perhaps lowering the score would be nice to like 100 or even 250 or something. After all I know its going to be a long time before I reach that 500 and I hate to see my computer screw ups mess up my posts because I don't have a high score yet.
Anyway this is pretty much the end of my rant, sorry to bother you guys.

Are you sure because my old hunk of junk rescued door stop of a computer (sometimes referred to as a desktop pc) doesn't do as described. If I do a ctrl z boom it is gone and I can never get it back, anyway, anywhere, but it only takes out the last line. If I ctrl x that I can get back by using ctrl v but of course I need to highlight text or nothing happens. The last thing I copied it will paste and get that message sorry no pasting for you

At first not being able to copy paste was a big change for me but I've adapted and turned it around to my advantage. Well, works for me anyway. I need to improve in spelling and typing my thoughts live so to speak and the challenge of not relying on copy paste has actually helped me with my writing and I even use the dictionary more. Improvement in typing is good but do miss copy paste for certain applications. Laptop keyboards have put me off buying one as I find them harder to manage so I feel for you.

Perhaps it was x I meant to type in the first post haha, I don't know I don't even know why my laptop is glitching like this in the first place.
I can certainly see why it could be an advantage to people, its kind of nice in a way but it can also be really frustrating at times as well. I see you're almost to the 500, are you going to do more copy-pasting when you hit it?

I may do both. I like hanging loose and just typing like I am talking to someone. Then they get to know me. On the other hand in some posts, I could take advantage of a word processor to work on the structure, spelling, all that and copy from there. I'll just see how it goes, I guess.
I've lost something once because I wanted to put the bottom on the top and then said shigamigido. I like the filter here - keeping mine on. :-)

I remember that happening and I hate it! It stills happens once in a great while, in some other way if I cannot hit undo edit.. been thrown off the page or something (usually from an error of mine of course!

hi gothtini I am sorry to hear that as that really screws up
things if you have to retype. but why should the site register
that redo as pasting as I have done that redo thing when
I was new here. also since you are not copying how can the site
register pasting? one has to copy before pasting. why don't you
contact mylot and see what they say about this problem as maybe you will not get in trouble for hitting redo. yes as you are only at 43 it will take awhile to get to 500.tell mylot admins what you have told us and maybe they will help you.

I understand about your complain as I experienced same thing when I was a newbie here.
But you can make it to 500 within a week if you keep active here in mylot.
Don't feel bad thu this is a bit disappointing when our response lost midway and we cannot do the copy paste.
Take a little more time and you reach it to 500 my friend.

Ugh, I just hate that too, its happened more than I care to admit. There have been times that I have gotten Soooo choked that I turned off the computer and walked away!
