I rarely use mIRC because of many new better programs for chatting specially skype and ym. I think I started using mIRC around 2003 and somehow get used to it because it's very simple and easy to use. Now many ways to chat online and has greater feature compare to mIRC.

Whew I was addicted chatting on mIRC way back in college when having an ISP at home is still very expensive so we have to buy internet card worth 100pesos for an hour ^^ all I can do on the net that time was chat in mIRC and join in trivias^^ Now I am not using it anymore, although the last time I used it was in 2008 out of curiosity to see if it's still fun chatting on mIRC, but then I left so quickly since I find it not anymore enjoyable ^^

Internet those days was expensive of course I remember a single dial-up card costs P100 for 10 hours and connection wasn't that fast either. Now for P1000 monthly I I'm online 24/7 and a free landline phone.

But we are buying Internet card for 100 pesos before , and that is only for one hour, as in 1 hour.. not 10 hours. that was year 2000 I guess. And sometimes I have to go to internet cafe just to chat and browse... I remember there was also another chatroom before in java, and all other sites but i can't remember what it's name I'd have to go ask my bestfriend, I will pop it in once I remember it ^^ I am glad we can now use it 24/7 no hassle of buying cards, plus yes an option to have a landline... landlines are still important to us, but some people just wants the internet...

That maybe one of the oldest chat site. The first I used the internet. I can't download yahoo messenger and so I choose mirc which is easiest to install due to slow internet connection... But now I don't know if the site still exist because I never been open or visited the site

Hi there... I used to use mIRC when I was in college... I used it till 2005, then I fell for yahoo chat etc... After a few years, I stopped chatting as it was proving meaningless and the chat rooms were full of perverts... mIRC32 was good one... I used to chat with Iranians, Phillipinos, Brazilians & Americans... It was fun...

Hi Jacruz! Is mIRC even existing until now? I remember I got hooked with this after I graduated from high school and that's like more than 10 years ago. I met a lot of people from using this application. I went to a computer school and we had an hour free use of internet and our professor taught us how to use mIRC. I was so addicted with it. I didn't know ym then. Now, I don't know how to use it anymore. I don't even know if I need a program for it or if I can access it through the internet. I just totally forgot about it when I went to college.

When mIRC was first being introduced, I am not a big fan of them . Now, I almost forgot that mIRC ever existed in the past! I never used mIRC since several years ago.. Right now, I am just using Yahoo Messenger or Facebook Chat. And I also joined some paid-to-chat sites..

Sure, I know two sites: Birejji and Paysnork. Earning there is kinda slow, though.. But if you enjoy chatting a lot, maybe these sites would suit you well.. :) Feel free to send me a message if you want my referral links..

Now these days there is so many programs, social network and other stuff which is replace irc chating. So I don`t use mIRC anymore, but it is good to remember when I was.

Hello Jacruz25, guess what I still use mIRC until now but I dont join any channel. all I have to do is put my friend's nickname on notify list and whenever she comes online it will give me a notification so I can query her. LoL I started to use mIRC in year 1999, that was the first thing I learnt. and then I became so addicted to mIRC, joined so many channels, became OP, had fight on IRC but then I got bored from it but my friend still loves joining irc, that is why I still use it. I dont use YM, MSN, skype, i just dont like to be bothered with registering username and password. I think mIRC is the easiest chatting application.
