More than a month ago i wanted to buy new shoes for my son. So i searched for shoes in eBay and found one which he may like and with solid price. I checked out seller information - he had great feedback (over 99,5%), but he was from China and it made me cautious, so i made discussion on Twitter about sellers from China. Every person who responded said that they never got any problems with Chinese sellers. I bought item, but then problems started. After two days eBay mailed me saying that they removed item from listing because it violate eBay rules. I decided to open case in resolution center saying that i want my money (i paid from Paypal) back. Seller responded by adding tracking number and saying that he sent out item and i will receive it from China after 25 days. After 25 days i received information from local postal service that i have package awaiting for me. I went to postal service, but was more than surprised when i received not a box with shoes, but small postal package. Seller information was correct, so i opened it and there was replica of one dollar 1871. I was confused again. eBay mailed me again saying that seller asked them to close this case and decide result of it. I wrote to eBay saying that i still haven't received item for what i paid my money and i was heard - eBay decided case in my favor - i kept one dollar replica as souvenir from China and i received full money refund.

I am very sorry to hear that,iDivision! I am a chinese and often buy something in eBey,but I have never met such situation like you!I think maybe the reason is you are abroad, you said you made yourself cautious just because the sellers were from china!I am very curious about that!I am sure this time you met with was just a suddenness with some special reasons! So you should put away your prejudice! In effect, chinese people are frendly and sincere just like me!^_^ Have a good day!

Yes i am cautious with sellers from so far lands like China - i have enough examples of Chinese production bad quality so that's why i was cautious. Will i buy something from Chine next time? maybe, but then i will be even more careful while choosing seller. I don't think Chinese people are bad or something like that - bad people are in any nation, the same as good ones. :)

Nice to see you again,iDivision! In effect,I myself really don't like the products made in china fron various areas!Just as what you said that chinese production had bad quality! There have been several truths showing that like sanlu milk powder because there are too many share-shooters in china who are just for their own benefits! Nowadays I bought some health products for my parents and myself just from abroad as I havn't believed chinese products!

I haven't had any issues with sellers from China, in fact they all seem pretty legit to me, but you gotta understand that sometimes even top rated sellers too, face problems especially when you have hundreds of orders to manage. It doesn't matter where you come from really, scammers could be anywhere. You can take it from me for instance; I just got lured into buying 2 iPhone 4s for a really good price - all that after a thorough background check on the seller's profile. Everything seemed fine until I realized it was a scam. Thanks to technology nowadays I don't have to worry abt it anymore, God willing, since we have efficient systems like Paypal, eBay buyer protection, etc. As long as you're using the right method of payment there's nothing to worry about, other than the time that you've lost while the issue is being resolved. I'm happy that you got your refund back :)

I can agree on that. It really doesn't matter from which country is this seller, this time he was from China and tried to cheat me. if i would not write email to eBay i don't know if i would receive any refund, since i got item, but not the same i paid for.

Nope. No one apologized to me. But i don't need it anymore. I will buy anything from that seller and i will not give good feedback to such eBay seller, so this case is closed.
