A good person no matter what you do will always be good and become better. and saving lives of another persons even sacrificing your lives doesnt make you a hero its your own choice or its your own will do save lives of others that makes you happy. And also dont leave a friend behind if he/she needs you and also help them rise again from their downs.
any other lesson you have learn from the movie?

"A winner never quits, and a quitter never wins."Based on that movie, the main character doesn't have everything to be a soldier. He is short in stature, physically weak, and with a list of illnesses to be begin with. The only thing he had is a determination to serve his country and a good heart. He failed many times, but doesn't loss his hope until someone believes in him.

That's is truly a good way to describe a hero. Even though he doesn't have the qualities to become a soldier but the good heart and the determination to help others and his country make him a good soldier and help other lives in danger. And always don't lose hope maybe sometime our break will just be there because we had the hope for it.

The movie is good too- let's just ignore some of the bad comments and ponder on the lessons it taught us.
