Rumors are floating that Roma will try to secure the transfers for Rio Ferdinand and Carlos Tevez in the January Transfer window. This would be a big Manchester sale for Roma. Carlos Tevez might be a great buy, but Rio looks a bit on the down side of his best days now.
What are your views on this?
Cheers!

I think it is a good move unless he is trying to Buy a championship. Here Most teams win when they have a mixture of vetern players and young players and All of them listen to thr coach. They buy into the system! Trying to get all stars and hoping they can play as a team Does Not Work. I know from seeing one of my football teams over heer try it time and time again! So I am not so sure about this move. What do you think about it?

So a good D is the reason Italy won the World Cup that year? Or was it a combination of both Offense and Defense?

Good D is one of the biggest reason for all three of Italian triumphs in the world cup. In fact in the world cup in 2006 when they won, their captain was a central defender. I believe he won the player of the tournament award for his performances.
Cheers!

I am not sure if this would be a good catch. It is clear that Rio's best days are behind him. He might be good for the slowly paced Serie A but with his injuries records, there is every chance he will spend most of the time in the treatment room. As for Carlos, brilliant player with a never-say-die attitude. A cult hero for all the clubs he had played for. While he has gain the fans trust, he turn them quickly as well. Just ask Man Utd and City fans. Does Roma needs a troublemaker in their team and risk dressing room unrest?

I agree with you assessment. The injuries seem to have taken their toll on Ferdinand and it is not clear how long his career will prolong.
On the other hand as you have rightly pointed out Tevez has been a cult hero at all clubs he has played for when he is on the field. Unfortunately off the field incidents have turned the fans against him at most of these clubs!!
Cheers!

Well, you are right..Maybe United will be lucky if able to sell ferdinand by January transfer windows..He seems not focus and reduce speed and accuracy lately, maybe this is good for Rio too since Serie A playing rhythm is not as fast as EPL..I hope he is able to find his best performance there..
For tevez, I also heard he will go back to Argentina, but it also does not matter for City..he has clashed with Mancini many times, even though he is good player but right attitude is a key for the team..
