One College I am considering for a spring class has a requirement of all students..that they have a check for measles and turbuculosis. .. NOw mind you . I am not going to go to the campus, not mixing with students.. strictly online.
Do you feel its necessary to have this when going online.

Well the one who told me ..said go look on the website...IT's a requirement for every student that plans to attend their university. I think that its makes absolutely no sense to go to a doctor have these tests done.and then send them in when I dont plan to attend except virtually.

Now imagine that an unwilling participant.. wonder if that would be legal??

ooooo, "unwilling participant in some study" that sounds like a good plot...

That is strange, because I am in Ohio and taking my second year in online classes and never had to have any physical or check up..I wonder why? Did you ask your adviser? I even had to go to the campus to take quizzes in one class, and still didn't have to get any checkup..

Yes I find the requirement odd but..I don't yet have an advisor as its for a different college that I am considering once I finish my BA in Psychology. I thought, how odd to have to send a doctors notice of this testing being done. when we are not really going to physically attending.

If I were you I'd ask someone, because it sounds funny to me. If they force the issue, is there another college you can consider?

well I like the college because its offering a course I want; I only am looking into one course with them; yet, they insist on the requirement.

Well, I do remember when I attended campus in person .. having to retake my measle vaccine.. was required for everyone born from a certain time period due to some fluke in faccines given that year.
But, if I am going online??LOL

Did you mean measles and tuberculosis? It sounds strange somewhat. As to tuberculosis,it is excusable, but when it comes to measles,it is not amenable to reason. In general, the children contract measles and are immune to it for life once they affect it.

what a strange requirement that is. well if you lioe that college you have no choice but to follow what they ask for you to do, no matter how odd it is for you.

Wow that is really weird. That is pointless and why should they care if you have any disease for that matter, you are paying them and they make no physical contact with you. That puts me at a loss for words.

Maybe computer technology is so advanced that viruses and disease can now pass through some kind of techno energy?
