Do you get along with your in-laws?

I am 25 years old now and soon to get married. After all these years that I and my bf are together, I can say that I am lucky that his parents, siblings, cousins, and other relatives are kind to me. At first, I was a bit shy to them as expected. But as time passes by, we have gotten along well. Here in the Philippines, in-laws (especially the mother-in-law) usually do not get along their daughter-/son- in law. Maybe, because of the reason that they do not want to let go of their children. How about you? Are there issues about you and your in-laws?Share them...

I like my mother in law, he is a good person, even thought sometimes she is rude with me, but I know that she is good, the have taught me to comprehend and accept the other with their mistakes. But my brothers in law are great, they really make feel that belong to the family.

I'm not married yet, but I always have a good relationship with my in-laws of my ex boyfriends. Here in my country, it's normal that the mother-in-law have a good relationship with her son's girlfriend too, but, gladly, I always managed to have a friendship with them. I guess that they don't like when the girlfriends started to act like a mom for their sons.

It cannot be avoided, small issues and that is natural. As long as they will never interfere with my personal life it's fine. Sometimes we need to listen to our in-laws to avoid misunderstanding.
