It truly has to be something you are passionate about. Far to many people get stuck in jobs they hate. If you don't truly love it don't do it.

A person close to me said, doing what you are not very comfortable of is called sacrificing. Sometimes sacrifice hinders us from following our passion. Well, the two just don't correspond with each other.. I wonder how you think about those two factors - sacrifice and passion... Hmmmm..

To decide your course in college, you must follow your heart's desire. You must relate the skills, the talents and capabilities you possess to the course you will gonna be taking up in college. Relate your course to your interest in life. Follow the course that you think, you will be happy.
Enjoy and good luck! Follow your dreams!

When I was young I was told to take one course that i hate. But I am young then still depend on my parents for my schooling so I took the course. It was too late when I realized I am not giving my best for it and I get out. I choose a course that is really appealing to my ability and capacity . Now I am happy using that course in my professional world.

You have to be totally interested, or have some minor interest that you believe will grow once you learn the course, to be truly successful in your studies and later on your career. People usually get stuck with, "well I am interested in everything", or "well I am NOT interested in anything". But usually there is one thing your really enjoy, some sort of hobby that you wish you can do.
Some of these choices you make may not lead right away to your dream, but as long it is closely related to your dream, you will eventually get there.
Also if it is not your hobby, what are you good at? What can you pick up easily and continue with just as easily? Do you prefer reading numbers? or reading words? Once you figure out small questions like these, you'll be able to piece together what you may be gifted in.

Woah...I'm really amazed by your scholarly response...Somehow, for those who haven't gone college yet, I want to share, especially those who are going freshmen, try to visit the colleges or universities they want to explore and stop by the colleges, get some prospectus - where the lists of subjects for the course offered can be found, then assess whether the subjects interest them as a whole. Not only interest can be considered but also the factor on competence about the subject. If only I will be freshman again, that's what I would do...
Thanks for responding...

Deciding what college degree to take is not easy. There are still a lot of factors to consider before anything else. When you decide, make some reflections on what path you wanted in your life and your goals. That determines how you will be able to decide. Also seek advises from your parents and friends.
