I forget a few rules here... Any advice?

Since I hadn't been here in a while I just wanted a little clarification on a rule or two regarding discussion guidelines. I had a discussion removed and although I know that happens a lot here, I really don't know why it was deleted. I guess what I am asking is are you allowed in a discussion to direct people to your profile page? I know you can't put a website in a discussion, or am I wrong about that? Any help is appreciated, thanks Mylotters!

you should have got a notification from mylot telling you your discussion had been deleted and also telling you exactly why. the common errors are making poll type discussions or ,making a repeat discussion that someone already posted so it pays to search for discussions on your topic before writing the discussions .use private messages to direct people to your profile.

hiiiiiiii kop dont worry this routine way and some time when mylot feel our discussion is violate rule they delete to remind us about rule. Website link is allowed but not referral or our own article link like if I am starting a discussion about a man married with 39 wives then it is necessary to put the link for proof so I will put it.

Thanks for this post. I am new here, so I haven't read the guidelines.
