I forget a few rules here... Any advice?

Since I hadn't been here in a while I just wanted a little clarification on a rule or two regarding discussion guidelines. I had a discussion removed and although I know that happens a lot here, I really don't know why it was deleted.
I guess what I am asking is are you allowed in a discussion to direct people to your profile page? I know you can't put a website in a discussion, or am I wrong about that?

i don't know much about that. but you should get a notification from mylot at your email.

you should have got a notification from mylot telling you your discussion had been deleted and also telling you exactly why. the common errors are making poll type discussions or ,making a repeat discussion that someone already posted so it pays to search for discussions on your topic before writing the discussions .use
private messages to direct people to your profile.
