Whoa! I am also in dire need of cleaning my keyboard. It is all dusty and messed up with dirt and it is quite hard to clean the insides. As far as I know, there is a brush for keyboard cleaning. I have used it once before and it can clean up some of the dust away. However, it can't clean the keyboard's hard to reach area completely. I am also having problems with accumulated dirt. My hands are almost always wet, and when I type, the dust accumulated in my keyboard gets wet from my hands making the dust more stubborn and hard to remove. Plus another problem is that I don't have the time to clean up my keyboard. Or maybe I am just lazy to clean it after all!

You are right about that! I need a self cleaning laptop or maybe a dustproof room to put my laptop in there. Laziness gets the better of me when it comes to cleaning. Are you lazy too when it comes to cleaning? Glad to know I am not the only one!

I usually clean out the dirt out of my laptop keyboard by using a soft brush. It comes when you buy a cleaner. Make sure not to pat its back as I read one myLotter did it and had a little trouble booting up his laptop ^^ Be as gentle as possible

Hi ardoy0731, the slots in between the keyboard buttons are easy to accumulate dust. They look indecent indeed. It's unbearable to move my fingers on them really so I would like to clean them regularly. I use a piece of wet cloth to remove the dust in between the buttons and it's effective Dry cloth doesn't work well. I feel reluctant to remove dust using suction machine as it is rather troublesome Happy posting and have a nice day

You can clean the keyboard using small vacum cleaner that made for that purpose. It can suck the dust between the keboard keys. I usually using it for cleanning my laptop's keyboard and after that using paint brush to clean the remaining dust that can't be sucked by that small vacum cleaner.

The proper way to clean dust is air cleaner or brush.

You want to purchase a can of compressed air from your local computer store. Make sure everything is turned off and then blast away!

I use a portable USB powered mini vacuum cleaner to clean my keyboard.

Mini vacuum cleaner is the best solution. This morning, I used real vacuum cleaner, it is not so effective since I afraid that the key might be suck by the vacuum (for desktop keyboard, it works well). Previously, I only use oil color painting brush. It is effective enough and did not scratch anything in my laptop (but, please be careful). However, it can not reach area beneath the key. So, I think you can try mini vacuum cleaner instead.
