picture love

Well it's almost the first of November and I have a new exercise to learn. I want to share this, it seems like such a good thing that all of us could do. What you do is for 5 mins each day, close your eyes an become aware of all the thoughts that come to mind, include what you feel, hear or think about in any manner. Then picture love, is it a color, a feeling, a sound, whatever it is to you, send that love toward the thought. Sounds funny right? Well all I can say is try it and then you will be able to tell if it's worth 5 mins of your time each day. Pretty soon you can find yourself sending love toward your thoughts eyes open or closed at times during your day. My guess is that soon your whole outlook will change. This is my goal for November, come along if you want.

that's a nice self hipnosis. How many times you've tried it? What's your effect?

While I've never really thought about picturing love, in the past few months of my life with the stresses that we've been through with our family, there are other things that I have worked on picturing. For example, the thing that I want to have happen the most in my life is that I want Tom to be in remission when he goes in for his scan and doctor's appointment at the end of this month and the beginning of next month. I've been working on picturing what remission is going to look like.

That is an excellent goal you have set. It is very much the way of "mindfulness meditation". There are different ways for practising meditation, and what you are practising now is "loving kindness" meditation. Yes, that is very good for health, mental and physical.
