my mom has started with vegies on pots, all grown organically. in fact, she has given me some and i have already used some for my dinner like petchay, okra, tomatoes, stringbeans (yes in pots
), and eggplants.
now i want to give her some seedlings on herbs. something she can use to make pesto. but the problem is, there are no stores that i know who sells those seedlings. most gardens that we have here are selling flowering plants and trees.
i was hoping mylotters have knowledge on where to get them? also i welcome suggestions on what to plant.
am sure mom will enjoy the idea of planting herbs.
an thinking of rosemarie, and basil and pandan leaves

Check at the web. There are places where you can get seeds. Basil seeds grow easily in a few days if kept wer but not soggy and there´s enough sunlight. Basil is the best herb for pesto.
I´ll put a picture here of basil and coriander in containers grown by myself.

I just transplanted the basil to a plant per container. But I will leave the coriander there and thin it by using it.
Gardening IS exciting!

Ask around other gardeners to see if they have some herbs suitable for taking cuttings or if they have some seeds. Rosemary grows from cuttings but basil from seeds and so does oregano. Thyme can grow from either.
Don't forget things like garlic, you can just plant cloves from store bought ones and they will grow fine.

jaiho hello,
i am not much of a planter but seeing those vegies being harvested right in front of my eyes and just by my mom's window, i, too, got inspired.
