Food poisoned!

A few days ago, I opened a discussion that I got really sick. Now I have not been this sick for a long time and it's one of those incidents that you don't tend to forget. Today I was feeling a little okay, so I decided to do some cleaning in the kitchen because I was thinking that my flu symptoms are caused by molds. I threw away expired and about to be expired canned food, candies and soups that my mom never got to eat.
I took a nap because I was still a little wobbly around the knees. Around lunchtime I decided to make myself a cheeseburger since I only have a pound of ground meat left in my freezer. I thought I can make myself some home fries, slice some tomatoes and melt the cheese on top of the burger patties. I made a simple burger patty without any eggs (because of my allergy) and just added salt and pepper to the meat then some onions and garlic. The meat was turning out fine, so I went to get the cheese to top my burger. Then I discovered that the cheese was spoiled.
Now, this sliced cheese I bought just this last Friday at one of the big supermarket chains here in my country. I was not able to check the expiry and as with all sliced cheeses, I immediately transfer them once opened to a sealed container and store them in my fridge. I made a cheese omelet that same Friday that I shared with hubby, and he commented that the cheese tastes different. I of course did not mind thinking that it tastes like cheese. Today the cheese was dry and began to crumble at my touch. I already suspected that the culprit for my illness is the cheese because I have not been this sick in my life. It was scary!
I knew it wasn't flu because I wasn't responding with the usual flu medicines. My body pain was really bad and I was feeling numbness in my limbs. I am just thankful that my body goes on autopilot when I am sick because I literally washed whatever germs I had with water. I was able to go through five gallons of water these past three days.
Have you ever been food poisoned this bad? I wasn't throwing up, though I recall having to go to the bathroom numerous times. This is really scary and I am all alone in the house.

I've had food poisoning once in my life and that was when I was fourteen years old. that night I had gone with my parents out of town to a nearby town and ate at a local Italian food place (not one of those really fancy types) that we loved eating at. As usual I ordered the spaghetti.
I remember it looking unusual compared to other times because the sauce looked a little soupy. Paying no attention to it, I ate it.
Long story short, I ended up in the emergency room after blurred vision and a horrible headache. In the room waiting for the doctor, I threw up. The doctor said it most likely was the spaghetti that poisoned me.
Fortunately that's the only time I have ever had that happen to me.
