So as many of you probably know, DCUO became a F2P on November 1st. Granted it wasn't available until late in the day, which was a tiny bit annoying but was easily dealt with. As soon as I could I got on the PSN today though and downloaded it, eager to play it. So I hit download, 125 mb was the original download. No big really, took about 5 minutes because my net is pretty fast thankfully. As soon as it installed I was trying to boot up the game, but came up with a black screen with white text telling me I need an update. Okay, so they don't have the most up to date version of the game in the store? Sounds a bit stupid considering it was JUST put in the PSN, it wasn't even there when it wasn't a F2P game. Either way it was another 125 mb, so another 5 minutes to download it. Super excited I opened up the game again and then it hit me with a colorful screen this time! Telling me it was downloading, again. Though this time its not a simple little 125 mb, oh no this one was almost 15 gig. So now I've been waiting..and waiting...and waiting...oh yes and waiting, while this game is downloading. It has been almost 5 hours now and I have about 60 percent of it downloaded. My PS3 is going to end up having to be on over night so I can finish downloading this, hopefully it will be the only time I have to download the full thing. If this was any other game, I would be wondering if this was worth the hassle, but this is DC Universe Online. Not only is it worth it because I am a big comic book geek and gamer, but its worth it because I've been excited about this game since I heard of it coming out back in 08. So granted, its a major hassle, but I think the game will be well worth it in the end. I can't wait to get up tomorrow to try it out, I've wanted to for so long. Have you guys ever gone through a million processes just to get to a game you want to play badly? Or better yet, have you played DCUO before? What did you think of it? Will you play as a free member or upgrade to a higher account?

I'm a Dc fan too... I hope for you that it is worth it. When aspects of one thing for too long will often disappoint. I have had problems playing Spyro 1 (a game out of production for almost 15 years). it was not easy to find. However it seemed a little 'improbable that such a game was on only 300 Mb. Good play ^ ^

I will admit that DC Universe is a great game, but I hate how frequently I have to wait in line to get into the online worlds.
