Is Free hosting better than Paid hosting?

Did the free hosting sites like x10hosting,000webhosting is better than paid hosting hostgator? pls share your experience in the hosting websites.Also which hosting site is best and have large mumber of pro templates.

No its not. Obviously its not better than paid hostings because as you can see on the promos on the paid hosting sites they are offering unlimited bandwidth and a faster loading for your site. Why would they pay if freehostings are better than paid. For me i use x10hosting and 123bemyhost, im having problems with freehostia in terms of sql database. x10hosting is nice, the only problem is you need to login to their forum once a month so that they will not suspend your free hosting account. :D
