Do you let your kids drink alcohol underage?

I am asking this because I have friends who let their kids drink alcohol as young as 15. I've seen friends kids stroll home late at night loaded drunk. Falling all over the place and slurring their words and the parents sit there and laugh like it's not big deal. It's not funny and it can lead them down such a destructive road. They use excuses oh it's just one time. We were on vacation. It's a holiday etc. I am a firm believer that when they are legal to drink then they can try it. Why do parents let their kids do such a thing??? I've raised 2 kids and neither tried alcohol until they were 19. In fact they don't even like the taste of it and are non drinkers. Why do parents force their kids to grow up to fast??????

I am still underaged, but my parents will let me try their drinks whenever they get on I haven't tried before, they won't let me have more than a few sips though so that is a little different than what you are talking about.

Your parents are smart. There is lots of time when you are of age to drink. I'm not perfect. I experimented when I was a teenage to fit it with friends. I didn't like it and stopped trying. They would party without me because I chose not to follow the crowd and be a part of it. I have no regrets. But your parents are smart and I hope you wait until you are older!
